Payment and Refund Policy
Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, training modules, workshops, and related digital resources offered through journixpo. These services focus on professional development in live television production, including studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimisation, lighting setups, and reliable production processes for news programmes, interviews, and live shows. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to content libraries. It does not apply to third-party services or physical goods unless explicitly stated at the point of sale.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may include optional add-ons such as certification fees or extended access periods. journixpo reserves the right to adjust prices, but changes will not affect confirmed bookings. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and authorised third-party payment processors compliant with UK financial regulations. Payments are authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed securely using industry-standard encryption and PCI DSS compliant gateways. journixpo does not store full card details. Authorisation failures may result in order cancellation.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you receive an email confirmation from journixpo following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the specific course access details, start dates if applicable, and terms. Until this confirmation is sent, no binding agreement exists. Access credentials are provided shortly after confirmation for digital services.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation to cancel without reason. For digital content, cancellation rights may end once download or streaming begins if you have given prior consent. Services that have commenced may not be fully cancellable. Notify us in writing within this period to exercise rights.
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available for cancellations within the cooling-off period or if services are not delivered as described. Exclusions apply to courses where access has been granted and significant content consumed, promotional bundles, or customised training. Non-refundable items include certification upon completion and any third-party licences included in the package.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, contact clients@londonschool.com or use the form on our Contacts page, providing your order number, full name, and reason for the request. Include bank details if seeking a direct transfer. Requests must be made within the applicable timeframes. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Each request undergoes review for eligibility based on usage logs and policy terms. You will receive notification of approval or rejection via email within 14 days, explaining the decision. Approved refunds proceed to processing; rejected cases include options for appeal or alternative resolutions.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes 5 to 10 working days, though bank transfer times may vary up to 30 days depending on your provider. You will be notified once the refund is initiated. Chargeback fees may apply in disputed cases.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital courses are non-returnable after access begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to their specific terms, often non-refundable after redemption. Service interruptions beyond our control may qualify for extensions rather than refunds.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments result in suspended access until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded promptly upon verification. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may lead to account restrictions. Suspected fraud triggers immediate investigation and reporting to relevant UK authorities under applicable laws.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including remedies for faulty digital content, or the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 regarding personal data handling in transactions. You retain rights to complain to the Financial Ombudsman or relevant regulators if dissatisfied.
